Paper transport

When the origami series began we couldnt avoid the inevitable: the paper plane. Yep, and we did it and in silver too. And we just gotta throw a couple of ships in there too. And we couldnt resist photoshop-ing it. And look how compulsive paper folding can be!

Have a blissful Lunar New Year!

Roar, Year of the Tiger begins 14th February!
Forecasts expect a year of calamities, changes and chances in the 12 months ahead.
To have it coincide with Valentine's day
Perhaps its a reminder for us to also
Cherish.
*we'll be spending time off the porch from 14th - 17th february. happy lunar new year!

From Points to Lines to Form

*refer to post below for images*
Take a strip of paper and fold it into a busload of ideas! A cost-efficient and effective time-killer that led us to this series by turning a singular strip into 3-dimensional forms then topping it off with a gleamy Swarovski crystal that's sweeter than ice-cream! What a mouthful, then again, better to think twice when throwing those papers away eh?

Multi-taskers!

Those tiny handcrafted silver beads from the hills deserve more attention then they're getting, so we decided to string them up in leather, making them more ubiquitous in the form of bracelet-necklace-belt. Yep, you can wear them three-ways!

Folded Friends from Centimeter Design!

Most of us first came into contact with origami while we were... okay then it's not so long ago. It is highly liberating as the hands form paper into planes, jumping frogs, hats, flowers, cash cheques and just about anything. (okay we made one of that up.) And it is just as intimate as it is liberating, you get to make whatever you desire (there's a book of erotic origami, whatever that means and not that we know what's between the covers tsk tsk~)

One aspect of our art is to conserve the sweeter parts of our what our little brains can recall, and with this instance, the paper is superseded by sterling silver. This is just the start of our conservation project, do keep a lookout for more to come in this series as we attempt to resolve our little fetish with paper/silver!

happy new year!

We're ushering in 2010 infront of the computer screen, wanting to show you a new collection in silver. Made by tribesmen and women from the hills of northern thailand, (they're the ones with lots of rings around their elongated necks that most of us get to see only on national geographic) and we thought it special to share a tiny bit of their extensive culture with you.
Best wishes, and see you next year.

hey that's Rudolph!

santa claus is coming to town, or is he? and when? we cant say for sure (though he might be more concerned with Copenhagen right now) but local malls have been readily assuring us he's on the way, somewhere.

while waiting, we've been soaked up in the seasonal spirit and put some pieces together. 7 days more till we find out where our jolly old Santa is (more specifically, what our presents would be!)

jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle bells rock!...

Anniversary

It was quiet but we utterly enjoyed our thanksgiving dinner, and especially so as we blow the candle out for the porch's first birthday too. We offer our silent thanks to you who have been with us the entire year.

A sneak preview from Centimeter Design, and we hope to serve you better each time. Thanks, once again.
